🌟 Sapphire Class Conquers Snowdonia! 🌟

Sapphire Class has had an amazing time learning all about Snowdonia (Eryri National Park) in North Wales. We discovered where it is located and explored its fascinating human and physical features, from mountain landscapes and lakes to villages and transport links.

Our geography lessons also helped us develop important map-reading skills. We learned how to identify OS map symbols and confidently use four and six-figure grid references to locate places on a map.

The highlight of our learning was experiencing the geography firsthand during our visit to the area. We took on the challenge of climbing Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) and successfully reached the summit! Along the way, we observed many of the physical features we had studied in class and saw how our classroom learning connected to the real world. What an amazing experience!
