Diamond Class

Year 5

Welcome to #TeamDiamond!

Team Diamond is heading into our final half term of Year 5, and what an exciting chapter it’s set to be! I was incredibly impressed with the children during camp — their enthusiasm, teamwork and resilience shone throughout and it was wonderful to see them embrace every challenge with such positivity. It was truly a highlight of the year.

As we move into this last half term before summer, we’ll be continuing our swimming lessons, so please ensure swimming kits are brought into school on the correct days. Reading books should continue to come into school daily so children can enjoy regular reading time.

We are all very much looking forward to the weeks ahead. With new learning to explore, exciting opportunities to enjoy and the sunshine (hopefully!) on its way, this final half term is shaping up to be a fantastic finish to our Year 5 journey. Team Diamond has so much to be proud of already, and there’s still plenty more to come!

I really enjoyed going on camp and jumping off the platforms into the quarry. It was really fun! I also really liked doing the school swimming gala and planting the pumpkin seeds and seeing how fast they grow in our classroom.

Flossie

I like doing lots of at school and playing with my friends at break and lunch time! Playing on the field and swimming are both really fun. When we do these, we have a great time and do lots of laughing.

I enjoyed camp, especially when we went in the tunnels. The food that we made in cooking was one of my favorite things as well.  In DT we made the lego houses to protect our technology outside which were also really fun.

Arianna

This half term, I have enjoyed making bread because I made a turtle. Another thing I liked was the first session of swimming, my favourite stroke is breathstroke. Camp was fun, my favourite thing was the adventure quarry, when we jumped off rocks each time going step higher and building my confidence. My friends were there, being positive and supportively cheering me on.I can’t wait for all the exciting things next half term has in store for me. #TeamDiamond.💎
