Exploring Our Dynamic Coastlines! 🌊
Year 6 have been busy geographers this week, learning all about how coastlines are shaped by the power of the sea. We explored key processes such as erosion, deposition and hydraulic action, and discovered how these can create fascinating coastal features including caves, arches, stacks and stumps.
To bring our learning to life, we took part in a practical activity where we created our own headlands and bays, helping us understand why some parts of the coastline erode more quickly than others, applying their knowledge and explaining the processes using their new geographical vocabulary.
