Let’s get practical!

Citrine have loved their practical maths lessons this term! We have been learning to recognise numbers to 50 and we then used this knowledge to identify missing numbers on a number line! Citrine then used this knowledge to measure lengths and heights around the classroom. We used the cubes to measure pencils, books and even the length of our tables! The children did a great job and the next day we learnt how to measure with a ruler (or a centimetre stick if you ask the children!) Citrine have also loved exploring mass and volume. We have used the scales to explore mass and used different sized jugs to identify capacity and volume. So much fun!
