Lighting up the streets
Interestingly, once a year Humphry Davy School hold a lantern parade. As part of this, primary schools from around Penzance are invited to get involved in making lanterns for this occasion. This year, we had Billy from HDS in to show us how to work with willow, weaving it and manipukating it into the shapes we needed. In the end, we made some triangular based pyramid shapes and covered them with tissue paper, but not before installing LED lights in them. We can’t wait to use these!
